I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Principal of Sylvia Mendez CREW Leadership Academy for the 2024-2025 school year! It is an honor and privilege to continue serving this community and school within Dallas ISD.

My journey within Dallas ISD has been a rich tapestry of growth and learning. From my beginnings as a bilingual 1st-grade teacher at W.A. Blair Elementary in Pleasant Grove in 2006 to my recent role as Assistant Principal here at Sylvia Mendez CREW Leadership Academy, every step has been guided by a deep commitment to the education and well-being of our students.

Reflecting on my time here over the past two years, I have been continually inspired by the dedication and hard work of our families, students, and community members. Your passion for education and unwavering support have laid a strong foundation upon which we will build our shared future.

As we embark on this exciting new chapter together, I am eager to share my vision for our school's future. I envision a nurturing environment where every student feels seen, heard, and valued—where academic excellence and character development are intertwined. Together, we will explore innovative ways to enrich learning experiences and ensure each student reaches their full potential.

I am genuinely excited to continue our journey together as the Wolfpack. Let us join forces to meet the needs of our campus and community and, most importantly, ensure the success of all our students. Dear Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,

I am excited to introduce myself as the new assistant principal at Sylvia Mendez Crew Leadership Academy. I am honored to join such a wonderful school community and look forward to working collaboratively with all of you to create an exceptional learning environment for our students.

With a deep passion for education and a strong commitment to student success, I bring 17 years of experience in education. I am eager to contribute my skills and knowledge to Sylvia Mendez Crew Leadership Academy, and build upon the school’s rich tradition of academic excellence and character development.

My primary goal is to foster a supportive and inclusive school culture where every child feels valued, challenged, and empowered to reach their full potential. I believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential for student success, and I am committed to open communication and collaboration with families.

In the coming weeks and months, I look forward to meeting many of you and learning more about your hopes and aspirations for your children. I am also eager to connect with our dedicated staff and support their efforts to provide high-quality instruction and engaging learning experiences.
